Who Am I

Well obviously I am Ronald Lake, but where do I come from and what is this all about?

I was born in Sioux City, Iowa in September of 1984. I lived in Iowa until the age of 6 when my dad Frank moved my sister and I to Lehi, Utah. Sadly in 1994, just two years after my dad had married Sue (who later became our step mother and adopted us) had an accident where he was securing a load on a flatbed semi trailer that resulted in his death. We continued to live in Lehi, UT until June of 1997 when we moved up to a nice little mountain town called Mountain Green, located in Morgan county.

My dad was always into water sports, even when we lived in Iowa, so I have always been exposed to nature in some way or another. I believe my real love of nature started from being on the water so often as a young kid. I also think that Mountain Green had a significant influence as we were only minutes from the Snowbasin Ski Resort (2002 Olympics), and there were multiple bodies of water within easy reach as well.

We all used to go camping and boating quite often, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After the loss of my dad, Sue used to take us to the various state and national parks located in Utah. I really enjoyed these trips and wish we would have had them on video.

This website is a way to connect with me, and to share the experiences of the outdoors through the videos I will make. If you have some ideas for a video that you would like me to make, share them with me through the contact page or through my social media channels.
